I'm Burmese living in Myanmar, a third world country mentioned in Itsu's travels before, our economy is dwindling more so now than ever. The military is harsh in media censorship and distancing us from the outside world, and it's terrifying living here not knowing whether I would wake up one morning and not have the internet connection to interact with my online friends, or that the electricity and water bills would get so high we wouldn't be able to afford it anymore. Homelessness had been a serious problem before, but especially now, it's getting so serious and complicated.
Everything's a mess and I'm working hard everyday with that hope that I could escape one day. It's a shame really, Myanmar is such a culturally rich country (I actually hv more ethnic minority blood, Shan, running in my veins than I do Burma). But it's either this or loosing absolute freedom in a couple of years, give or take.
I'm glad to see this manga tackled and talked about the problems in the world, I hadn't need something like this, I'm well aware of limitations and the harm in misrepresentation and I'd rather have no representation than a bad one that further ostracise us from the citizens of those from powerful nations, as exaggerated as all this may sound like.
I hope that Itsuomi keeps his spirits up, and those of us who struggled everyday living in the environments we have no choice to be born in, be able to dream and strive for better lives for ourselves.
It's a recent classic, popular BL — they're both in gang from different side of the city that helps the citizen. The bottom made his gang cus he got inspired by the other dude when he was a kid(?), but pussied out each time he try to portray that and ended up yellong at the top. I got more details but I'm pretty sure someone alr got it, I lost the name in the seas of my Already Read list pls help
