Everything is going to be downhill form now on

I read it a long time ago, so some details might be a bit off—but here's the gist: Edward had this suspicion that Joffrey was somehow involved in his mother's death. Apparently, the Queen had planned it, though there was no solid evidence but it was actually true. And Edward thought Joffrey acted like he knew nothing. So, Edward told him to stay away (apparently he didn't mean that and wanted Joffrey to come to him) and Joffrey did exactly that (I mean, stayed away from Edward). As a result, the distance between them grew and the misunderstanding got worse. Edward started feeling like everything Joffrey did was fake. They ended up not seeing each other for a long time.
But the dynamic between the redhead guy (I kind of forgot his name) and Joffrey is going to be super cute! He's gonna befriend the og fl. And the og fl is actually good, not a bi*** at all.

While I was reading, my brother suddenly appeared out of nowhere, saw me giggling like an idiot. So, snatched my phone to see what's going on so that he could tease me with it. The scene on the screen? Yeah, it was the last panel—the one with Virik cross-dressing. He looked at it and went, "Damn, who’s the queen?"
Now his plan backfired and now I'm teasing.

A few months ago, I finished the novel, and from the very beginning, I felt that some scenes were missing in the manhwa, leading to a few confusing moments. At first, I thought I might have remembered incorrectly, but today, I'm certain. In the novel, there was a scene where Joffrey's teacher praised him, and when the Queen found out, she was overjoyed—even going so far as to frame his test paper. This was the moment Joffrey realized that his mother wasn’t as strict as he had always believed and that even a small achievement from him could make her genuinely happy. The novel provided far more details and deeper insights into the Queen’s actions from Joffrey’s perspective. While it made it clear that she might not have been a good person, it also strongly conveyed that, in her own way, she was still a good mother.
Yeah, rn I'm convinced. If I have to choose between Ilay and Xinlu, it's gotta be Ilay.. Not saying, I'm supporting Ilay's actions. But Xinlu? Tht guy is crazy, insane af
Ilay may be a psycho, but Xinlu is a deranged psychotic brat with a narcissistic streak. Ilay makes more sense to me.
