Is there any spoiler that can give me a good reason to not drop this? because I don't think I would have the patience to wait for a shitty character like the boss to evolve into someone who's not the villain like now (I'm sorry to those who liked the character but seriously I can't see him in another light and it's been several chapters already)
SPOILER
okay, y'all asked (i've seen others asking in the comments too) so imma try and explain, it might be a lil long, but here we go lmao (also my korean is not the best, i am still learning, but i think a lot of what i say is mostly accurate, give or take, raws definitely show it so :P if anyone here knows korean, feel free to correct me). the main crux of director kang and yiyoung's relationship in the earlier chapters is that they both met each other at their lowest points and acted out of character (director was drinking his sorrows away after being dumped so he was angry that night (not an excuse and he will realize that and apologize to yiyoung) and yiyoung had just messed up the presentation and ruined his friends' chances of being hired so he was acting desperate that night) and thus they both gave each other terrible first impressions of one another.
anyway, the boss isn't actually a shitty person, he just did a shitty thing that night (its been a few chapters since they slept together, so there really hasn't been a chance to show this yet because of the need to establish how yiyoung is being mistreated by the marketing staff--this is super important because the director comes to yi's defense and chews out the marketing guy taking advantage of yiyoung and the whole office hears; just wait until chapter 20 and 21 for the best resolution, i promise you). according to the later chapters, he's actually a very considerate boss to his employees (the ones that aren't assholes, he actually hates the marketing guy that is treating yiyoung bad lol), treats his secretary with respect (she apologizes for small things and he tells her not to worry about, he tells her good job when she picks a perfect restaurant for a company dinner, etc), and so on.
in chapters 22 and 23, after telling off the marketing guy, director kang goes to visit yiyoung and his team and sees how crappy their office is and how shy all yiyoung's friends are. he gives them a swanky new office and tells yiyoung he is a good representative for his team (something like that, i can't remember exactly, but basically he sees how bad the team is at socializing and how much yiyoung has had to deal with). yiyoung is kind of standoff-ish with the director while talking and the director realizes its because he was a bastard to yi (while he's thinking this, it literally has 'son of a bitch' or 'bastard' or some other cuss word, again i don't remember, written on his forehead lol). then he tells yi that he chose him/the team because their work was excellent, not because of the night they shared. then they shake hands and its all settled and they have a friendly relationship after that point.
sorry for any typos/mistakes i made in interpreting, but that's pretty much the gist of it. c:
wow, you're great! thanks! don't worry I understood perfectly,
Personally I don't know if I would continue this but now I'm curious, the thing is that what happened between them wasn't an excuse to anything, I mean, they both had this shitty attitude towards the problem and misbehaved.
still, thanks for the hard work <3 your korean must be very good
PS: sorry for my grammar and typos too XD
This is just a theory but if you wonder what's the role of the younger brother let's say that there's a connection between him and the little girl at the hospital, the doctor sees him (if that was really his brother in the flashback) through the girl.
I don't know much about the oncology area but I think it covers all about the diagnosis and treatment of cancer... so make your guesses.
This is literally sexless.
I don't know, I feel like it wasn't "destiny" as they said because it was Dr Moore who set them up in the same place
and what was that "maybe I love you"? the whole drama was getting so interesting so in climax to drop into this weak resolution, (they got together, that's great but where's the cherry at the top huh?) I can write more drama in a fanfic, all in all I laughed at the silly moments they shared and got emotional because of Lauren's actitude -even when I wasn't that fond of him- it was super realistic because that's what happens when you like someone but cannot truly express your feelings, (though I hated when he acted ok over the cheating situation, If he were to love him deeply he would've stand and said it all)
still it wasn't the ending I was expecting though it was funny and a light reading
"I don't know, I feel like it wasn't "destiny" as they said because it was Dr Moore who set them up in the same place."
Agree, but I also think that's the point. She knew those two would be happy together (they were invested enough in this relationship to go to therapy) if it weren't for Lauren's problem so once that was solved she gave them a fresh start.
And because "destiny brought us together" is more of a motivation for them to try again than being told by their therapist since they both believe in it those things, she set this meeting up.
totally, they are both so stubborn, I'd have loved to see Lauren running after Chip and end up in that party also making up at the beach (details~ details~) but well it was fine, I've read a few chapters of her other work and looks promising "playtime with Hakdo" http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/playtime_with_hakdo/
Is super smut haha I can totally go for that XD
the author was really happy to have finished the story yet I have a lot of questions,
after all the misery they went through, who's the one to blame? but I guess with this ending that doesn't matter anymore does it?
it was super melancholic, I liked it at some point but still my sense of justice is telling me that they deserved better
I stopped breathing when I saw all those yellow shirts D:
yisus, I can't even make assumptions now, I don't fucking know haha
I thought everyone had weapons but when the shirts appeared I was so sad
I'm curious, why sad? :D
everyone thought the shirt would uniquely make them real, but that didnt happen. not all of them can be real but they so deperately believe they are. its sad because we know most of them will "die".
You know, I got so attached to Blue that I forgot they are all hyung one way or another. The way that even White picked the shirt was a reality shock to me because, at the end of the day, they are all, indeed, parts of the same person. It was kinda unfair of me to rule everyone out because all of them could still be the hyung and all of them are scared and suffering somehow. That's a sad thought to have. What Kazan said is also true and is also part of why I'm sad.
T.T ify dude
I got goosebumps reading all of your comments ahaha T^T
I know, right? that was a low blow,
honestly I don't know what to think anymore haha,
Maybe all of them are fake but since they're all a part of hyung I believe that, in the end, when all of them have died, a petal of every color would arise to form one single hyung (?????????????? this is just my personal ending lol *takes notes*
