Why did they make it look like the ex was doing them a favor, that mf was emotionally and physically abusive.
Such a shame that it was interesting at first but then it went down hill after ML went to meet the ex, like why?
Fr, I'm still pissed that the ex was shown in a good light? Even MC said some bullshit about how the ex was actually looking out for him, and started cheating for MC's own good, as if it was the MC's fault that he couldn't accept this and unreasonably left. Like. Bbg. That's not how it works.
In the first place, MC himself said, that an S having multiple partners is legal, only if it's consensual. It was heavily implied multiple times, that MC gave no consent to any such thing. Regardless, of whether or not the ex cheated because he didn't want to overwhelm MC, in the end he still cheated.
Also, dominating through anxiety is pure bullshit. Subverse or no, it's not a sane or good relationship if one of the people is in a constant state of anxiety. You can enjoy pain, you can enjoy your partner saying harsh things, whatever, but the point is enjoying it. If it only brings anxiety, there is no enjoyment. The ex only controlled his partners through psychological torture, like a textbook example of an abuser. I myself went through a period of time where I was constantly anxious and stressed, I only got heart problems and depression out of it. It's not a fun play.
It's annoying, that while at first the ex properly got told off, the author quickly switched it up and had the ML go and actually get advice from him, like the ex was in any way valid, and it was doubly annoying when MC also started acting like the abuse and trauma he suffered from was completely ok, because "they weren't compatible". The only thing abusers are compatible with, is jail. Maybe castration too.
