I think it's probably because he was the one who gave it, he feels safe around him deep down and his body remembers his touch which he's used to so that's why I think just a theory

I thought this BL would be different from the rest by actually giving MC a realistic trauma from rape instead of glossing it over like a most of bl’s, but I guess I shouldn’t raise my expectations…
I don't know how it is with someone you know at this level, but I know that when it's someone close like a family member, a person can still somehow feel ok but not ok with being touched or interacting with the person who traumatized them (and still hate being touched by people generally, where you have a panic attack). It sounds really complicated and it is. You hate it but also don't. You hate them but you also don't. Tbh you hate them and love them. IT'S MESSED UP AND YOU KNOW IT. It takes a lot of therapy to unpack and work through. I mean it's taken me more than half my life and it's still an ongoing process.
I imagine for the MC who didn't really have many adult figures in his life, he ended up getting attached to the ML, and maybe that's how it is for the MC (i.e. complicated feelings of both hate and not hate)
Trauma is a weird thing, the brain often makes weird connections between pain and random things. There are many aspects of traumas that make very little sense or even seem ridiculous ( I have a PTSD and one of my triggers was soooo random like, why the hell did my brain identify that inanimate object as dangerous??? I had "rules" that I had to follow to keep the anxiety under control and a lot of them seemed absurd at first but always made sense in their own way) The connection with touch is pretty straight foward, as for the reason why the trauma doesn't get triggered by fluffy head, I think it might be because MC was aware that fluffy was doing it on purpose to push him away for his own good (not saying the method was approptiate, good or moral, it's still a pretty shitty behavior). I think it might have had an effect on how the trauma developped and this duality of hate/love, protect/hurt, pull/push weirdly enough made the trauma "incomplete". MC is always on the fence with fluffy: he is a ganster who beats up people for a living but takes care of MC and always shows up when needed... he can't be trusted but is at the same time reliable, he's dangerous but caring... MC resents him for what he did but can't help longing for him, etc. It is all pretty confusing for poor MC.
people become emotionally and physically reliant on their abusers, especially domestic abuse or rape (which this was ig?). if the author is good at all, they’ll try to work in this context and not standard bl logic of horny = true love no problems
Yeah no past stories got me approaching with the lowest expectations, I just hate this story for being good at one point like if you were going to add rape from the ml as a plot device and expect an audience to forgive him cus he's hot, don't waste my time with good plot, cus now Im too far in.
