I hate that the protagonist had to suffer at every turn. I hate that he felt unloved in his world. I hate that he could only find happiness and love through dreams, through a fictional person.

Though, it's good that he did at least feel loved, no matter if it was a dream. No one deserves that sort of hell, and to his brother who enabled him to be crippled, you're a fucking scumbag. All you had to do was clearly draw the line and break up with Zach. But no, you got off of having Zach depend on you and leaving your relationship ambiguous. You effing ruined a man that truly deserved all of the world.
