Honestly, this series had such a strong start and now it's all going downhill.
I've noticed this troupe in a lot of chinese/ korean works, FL always ends up with the ultimate OP male. S/o with status, pedigree, power etc etc. So it's not surprising the author wanted our FL with this ML (he's afterall KING to a rather wealthy nation...) and when she married over she'd be Empress, the 2nd most powerful citizen. It's as though these authors collectively share one braincell that follow this train of thought: 'An FL with a commoner, le gasp! No, he's got to have something. He needs to be special, simply out of this world... and voila, we're to suffer with another version of Christian grey/ Edward Cullen'. I just hate that a lot of these isekai series pretty much follows this pattern. And often to keep this troupe going, authors ship their Fls to such abusive, deluded lil fucks. Like, I hope they realize, marrying well doesn't necessarily equate to happiness or success.

2. The way he seeks acknowledgment/ attention, it's clear he was neglected as a child.
3. To make ends meet, he'd started selling his body. But a lot of his sugar daddies were abusive lil fucks.
4. Man gets gang-raped and almost mutilated....
5. Loses his parents young
6. His psyche is so fucked up that he can no longer process pain or understand other's pain.
His only saving grace is that cuz he can't process his pain, he be that happy forever kid. With his smarts, it's be easy for him to go on a revenge spree. Though, in time, he'll self-destruct. There's just no way for s/o to only have 'fun'.

It's been a while since I last read this, but that book organizer, I know she made small appearances previously....so what is her purpose? Is she a friend to lippe or her enemy? I hope she isn't a foil for Lippe though, the girl's just an awkward lil child.
She was a kid who didn’t know how to do anything on her own. She’s definitely just foil to show how awesome Lippe is.

Fuck, this manga hits hard....so far, nearly all the characters seem to be victims of the underbelly of society. I don't know how any of them managed to walk away w/o self-destructing. I just know i'll be in pain for these characters.... ╥﹏╥

I understand why Jinyao wouldn't budge, after all, would the Qin family continue to stay silent and watch their daughter be slandered? And if they found out that the slanderer was connected to Jinyao, Jinyao would risk losing a connection and millions of dollars in deals/ trade. The dude is trying to stabilize his position within the family, having her run around creating trouble would only mean she'd be used against him. She truly fucked with the wrong person...
This is def a huge age-gap, but they're both consenting adults. So I really don't mind, it's just love and it's beautiful.
Guys, trauma isn't something we should take lightly. For those calling the uke weak, he's been battling this trauma since childhood, he's been trying. This perseverance is not 'weak'. Unfortunately, rather than encouraging him to continue with his progress, those close to him are doing the opposite. For over a decade, he'd been called useless/ worthless. Just imagine being called that for a good portion of your childhood, on a daily basis. So, no. He isn't weak. He's merely trying to keep his head afloat. He's convinced himself he wont be cured of his trauma, so he manages by finding methods to escape his thoughts. Some prefer pain, he preferred pleasure. That's all there is to it.
