the emperor does do things to the empress later on that will most definitely piss you off and even leaves his mistress to die in the end (even though he let her live in the first season) when he falls in love with the empress. Right now tho, he's doing a lot by doing absolutely nothing. He's just letting everything burn while the empress has to try to dose a forest fire all by herself. AND he's dealing with a bitch he KNOWS don't even care about him and he's letting her do crazy outlandish shit because he feels pity for her? Yea he was abused and killed his mother. Those are facts. But you can't continue to be a victim when you hurt others. You can be a "victim of" something but not just straight up a victim. Like with criminals now. If you heard about their tragic past, would you say "Oh they didn't do anything wrong, they're the victims here"? If you would, what if I told you they killed 3 to 5 people in 6 places? Are they still just victims? Or just a perpetrator with a past of being victimized? I'm not saying he's on the level on being that evil (I just used that example bc that's all I could think of) and I don't think he's a monster but he's enabling bad behavior therefore he's an accomplice to bad behavior. So I don't think he's a victim and I think he most definitely did a lot wrong (besides what the former empress Alyssa or whatever her name is made him do). Well I never said I liked him and that he’s a good character. And he’s not YET doing anything like bad, he just doesn’t give a fuck. Honestly tho don’t care he left rose to die, cause same, she deserves it. But it’s weird that even after all of that he will abuse empress, seemed like he got to like her more and more, but I guess it just makes it interesting (also I hope empress won’t be easy to get for him)

this new chatper is so underwhelming, like as if it's trying to make the readers sympathize with cesar. and in the novel, ruby was almost bathing with blood. she can't even open her eyes because of the blood dripping on her face. idk. i just feel quite disappointed with this chapter. it feels too rushed.
I was ticked off about that, too. She should’ve had blood running down her face and entire head. Also, I was hoping the glass would’ve ripped the back of her dress so those jerks could’ve seen the scars all over her back.
