The pacing is all over the place and the translations definitely aren't helping.
The way the old hag thinks is so small minded. Gio has better things to do and better ppl to love. He gives 0 fucks about his blood relatives and only needs the care and affection of his real family (the family that loves him), friends, and lover.

It's a shame that the author tried to "bless" her by changing her skin color when it was fine just as it was.
It was sus when the MC wasn't a chocolate goddess on the color pages. Like who tf is this person where are her black hair, eyes, and gorgeous brown skin?!
Don't get me wrong, light skin protagonists are fine, but when the lighter skin tone is a "blessing," author is sending a disgusting message. It completely defeats the purpose of the story.
