It just seems like everything went to Hell in a handbasket ever since. First, she died and I cried like a bitch, then they got separated and I cried like a bitch, then disasters struck the country and the war started, and then the general and his friend (a liteunant?) died one after the other despite their promise which really made me cry, and then even eunuch Zhao had to die, because why the fuck not. On top of this shit cake the even shittier cherry is how they are unable to properly talk, and now mc thinks that ml never even was his friend in the first place. Altough it feels like the shit fest has finally plateaued, and maybe things will get better. But still. So many dead characters that I cared about. I really, really hoped that they will survive.
