Maybe this is just me…but I feel kinda grossed out that he did the deed with a kid he raised for (I think 5/6 years). Even if it was an angel or a leopard it’s still the wrong message. I mean he basically became the father figure and raised him, and later on we find out that the “kid” was in love with him
To be honest, looking over the comments right now, and it kinda of scares me on how common people support this type of trope. I mean wake up! Even if it’s fictional, it’s still wrong and utterly disgusting. I think this story is literally representing the adult, maybe grooming, the cub/child or even supporting the feelings of the child that grew up think he was falling in love with the caretaker. It’s just wrong to encourage this.
then don't read it. You know where these types of stories go, so why consume it and complain here? bruh. Stop applying real world morals to yaoi and a Fantasy one at that. It not realistic to begin with. Unless the author portrays it as something that happened in irl (there are those authors) then it's pretty useless reading and complaining when it goes against your morals
I don’t know why you assume that Fantasy shouldn’t follow minimal moral standards. The things we consume also inform our values. Everything is related…besides, you might be able to separate from reality but a lot of people don’t. A lot of people could normalize things that are bizarre. And we have the right to complain and to criticize the yaoi culture as much as we want!
I don't think it works like that
You can like anything, admit that it's good, but still point flaws on it and criticize it
We're not toddlers who fling a toy across the room bc we realize there's a thing on it we dislike
I know kinks exist, I know fictional works will be created to cater these kinks, which will appeal to some and repel others
Do you think nobody should speak about something they don't like?
Well, if so, then you don't need to read my comment, you can ignore it and move on with your day
But that would be shitty, wouldn't it?
You're free to express your dislike for my opinion as much as I am to express mine for shotacon and ped0 stuff
Are you implying that bc I'm reading in an illegal website for free, I can't say that I don't like shotacon because they're equally wrong?
And it's not always about the author knowing, we are an internet community, lots of times we are the ones pushing back or asking for stuff from them
And how would you even know I buy stuff or not? How is this even related to the argument, you're just repeating the same old arguments people use when anyone tries to criticize any work here
You all deny the issues, don't acknowledge that there's a significant part of the fandom that isn't blind to problematic themes and just yell at us to leave the website or stop reading
Zero nuance and 100% rudeness
So yeah, it’s in accordance to my values. I am against this model of capitalism where people who don’t have money, cannot access products and services. The authors should be supported with laws that give them $$$ from our taxes to produce books, mangas, and any other type of artistic expression. Besides, you are poor too and you are also reading it here, so fuck off!! Looool
Fr. I couldn’t get into this manga too much because they keep mixing in the fact that the uke was raised by his partner and was seen as his child (even when they are being intimate). That was unnecessary. Like the author could’ve made them met when both are adults, and absolutely NOTHING of the plot would be lost. It’s kind of sick that the author deliberately chose this age setting.
Cried when Buff dad Abel died (still crying now ╥﹏╥) but lowkey LOve the Reincarnation arc it’s a nice touch to continue the story. What I don’t love is how small and meek they made Abel. I mean the prince gets a glow up of becoming Beefy while Abel is portrayed as weak. Makes me sad but it’s great that they keep his goofy personality.
Also maybe this is just me but has anyone noticed how the regals or dragon tamers are portrayed as a smaller childish boys?! I mean it freaked me out during the first couple half chapters… especially during the king scene and also during the red hair &brown (or goldish eyes) dude who’s on the kings council. I mean it’s obvi fiction but it gave me major pedo vibes, which grossed me. So watching Abel the adult father figure Regis/ dragon tamer help the young prince was so precious. I wished they continue with that storyline to be honest. But let’s see how the story continues!
Regals are chosen and sent by king's council members. So I think small/fragile regals are one of their ways to control the future kings. Like abused lonely princes let down their guard easily when they are approached by short, thin regals. And those regals don't have strength/power to protect princes from queen or king's abuse.
So, basically, these manipulation has been going for many generations now.
The Council will drug the queen to abuse the young prince and drug the king and control them with puppet regas that looks similar to their fated regas.
When the young prince isolated, with no one to trust, council will send different type of regas to him.
And when he found his regas, start to imprint and depend on this regas, the council will kill that regas.
And then, the council will collect similar looking regas to teach and control to send to the young prince while feeding the prince with the drug/poison to start controlling the prince.
Once the prince is come of age, and fully under control, they will kill the king, and place the prince on the throne to be a new puppet king.
.......
Rinse and repeat.
