Can you guys please tell me animes you have watched that have either portrayed mental illness negatively, accurately, or romanticized it? I need examples for each for a project I am doing
Not an anime, but I could recommend some manhwas that accurately portrayed mental illness out of trauma.
Love Me Not (Specifically Season 2)
- PTSD, Depression, and anxiety was accurately shown although it was short. The appearance of the psychiatrist also makes it interesting because actual psychiatrist do tell you bluntly that what you feel may not be normal and it is okay to recognize it.
Non Zero Sum
- Very disturbing BUT what people don’t realize is that the MC is suffering to what we call “trauma bond”, a branch of the Stockholm syndrome. Often see in rape victims that knows their rapists personally. You may be annoyed that the MC is not thinking logically and how dare he follow his rapists’s words so easily despite raped and gang-banged, BUT THAT’S HOW IT WORKS. I do not generalize that every trauma bond happens that way, but it is one of the severe cases.
My Beloved Oppressor
- Romanticized depression but somehow accurate for victims that were concealed and mentally abused.
Psycho Pass! It has psychological genre, its abt a system where it can detect our stress rate or mental health overall and convert it to "hue". If your hue is cloudy, you are a target for law enforcement. So yeah, its where society judge your hue and had this mindset if your hue is bad, you're a criminal.
Does the artist/author have a twitter?
yes they do its @IDdosak
Tysm!!! ^_^
They have twitter but they will block you if you don't show them you buy there episodes
makes sense. i would as well
yes the author can do what they want but i only say it so that the person knows why they are being blocked
ohh yesyes
I think you're mixing authors. The one that blocks people is the author from BP
Yeah i know that one does that to. But @IDdosak did that to me. they also had this writtin in their bio. Dont know if that still the case because im blocked. I wanted to follow them because i love their art. I know illegal reading is wrong. That's why I try to buy the episodes when I have enough coins. but I'm always too curious
