From the chapter's ending it seems Seth's wife might have used her powers as god of peace "that puts human conflicts and grievances to rest" (quoting chapter one) to help Anubis get the curse out of his arm (the one Seth had accidentally out on him when Osiris tricked Seth into mistaking Anubis for him) and into the form of the black bracelet surrounded in black smoke that Anubis then presented to Seth (he told them he had come to give Seth a new "weapon"). Then when Seth grabbed the bracelet the curse activated and the "apparition-wife" came out, crying while saying that the curse on Seth's sword (which he had previously tried to sic on Osiris, but that Osiris had finally tricked Seth into accidentally putting on Anubis, instead) was the curse left by the thirst for revenge coming from humans who had died in Seth's wars or by his hand, which had finally come back to "get them", first to get take revenge against Seth through their son, and now upon Seth himself.

Anubis is just gaving Seth back that horrible curse that Seth had accidentally placed on him chapters prior, and he did it because Horus told him that's the way to become a god.

I mean, Horus had basically told Annubis, "Give those back to Seth, sever all ties with him, and you'll be able to heal the two curses he accidentally put on you (including that nasty one on your arm), and you'll become a god"...

So what the hell did Horus think Annubis would do, if it wasn't this?!?

Annubis was just doing exactly what Horus told him that he needed to do in order to overcome the curse Seth accidentally gave him in the arm chapters before, and become able to finally become a god... even if Horus doesn't like Annubis' "interpretation". But, that's Horus being stupid here and not realizing the consequences of what he was recommending Annubis to do, IMHO... Horus basically told him to go all "Buddhist Nirvana-like" and get rid of all human-like feelings and attachments, which are the real reason both gods and gods' children have currently become corrupted and weak, and in Annubis' case that weakness was caused, according to Horus, by his feelings, memories and ties related to Seth and to being Seth's son.

Besides, the implication is that just as Annubis can heal himself from that curse by overcoming his human attachments (that weaken and mine his power as a god), Seth can obviously do the same, and overcome the curse in turn by giving up his human-like feelings. In other words, Annubis may just be giving Seth the one TOOL that can help him overcome his trauma, even if it's by force.

...So I think it's also possible that another reason why Anubis gave that curse back to Seth, in the way he did, was because he found out sth about his mom that he now wants his dad to also find out and realize too (maybe that she's not the real one... maybe?)

If you want a more elaborate response:

According to Ra, the sun god, the way these four gods and their children started trying to imitate human families and feelings was apparently what caused this entire mess in the first place, as this had made all the four ruling gods of Egypt become weak (Osiris, Seth, Isis and Neftys) because (as Ra had tried to warn them in vain) all four of them had tried to live, think and love like humans, thus falling prey to human emotions they had never been prepared to handle.

"Horus explained this is because gods are eternal beings who don't need to imitate the "family model" that humans used to survive and reproduce, so when these four did, it was bound to fail and to cause them all to become corrupted and/or weak. As a result, the children they had after that, who were also raised trying to imitate human emotions themsleves, were also weak."

"In Annubis' case that weakness was caused by his feelings, memories and ties related to Seth and to being Seth's son. And those included the two curses Seth had accidentally and unknwoingly placed on Annubis: the one where he wished for him to never grow up (so that he could stay forever as an innocent child who didn't need to know anything, and thus could stay as his little son by his side, forever) and the other one Seth had placed on his sword to use as a weapon against the undead Osiris (intending to use his sword to place it on against Osiris the next time he came to the world of the living to try to drag Seth to the afterlife with him). Seth accidentally ended up giving to Annubis through a cut on his arm, because Seth still didn't know at the time that Annubis was being kept captive "inside" Osiris, as Osiris was using his body each time he came to the world of the living (the reason Osiris can do this is because Annubis actually tried to kill himself once, and Osiris sort of revived him, which somehow left Annubis connected to Osiris).

"So, when Annubis tried to get Horus to tell him what he needed to do in order to get rid of those two accidental curses, and become a god, Horus answered "give it all up", and apparently the only way to do that when it came to the curses themselves, was to give them BACK."

She basically set Seth up for rape by Horus, and then possessed Horus and had him rape him, as a way to teach Seth a VERY painful lesson... She's the one who helped Seth out when Osiris raped him (she put Osiris to sleep, restored Anubis' soul that the still living Osiris had stolen back to his body, and she told Seth what to do with Osiris) and when she came back to taunt him for the mess he had gotten himself into due to all the shit he pulled ever since becoming king, Seth cut off her arm. So she secretly wanted revenge for that and told him to try raping Horus in order to incapacitate him for their contest... and when Seth went and tried to do what she had suggested (AGAIN... does he never learn?) she turned the tables on him by possessing his intended victim (Horus) and making Horus rape *him* instead...

So, what was the "lesson" here? You take your pick, but I can think of several: rape victims are not entitled to rape others, rape victims are not entitled to kill innocents, don't bite the hand of the one single person that's actually trying to tell you things for what they really are (even if it's trough taunts), don't try to cheat to keep being king... and most important of all: you dared mess with Ra's beloved Egypt? Thought that trying to live like a human, in spite of Ra's warning that gods shouldn't try that, and having that spectacularly backfire on you (by getting deceived and raped by your older brother, etc etc etc) could give you whatever "human-like" excuse, and one good enough to entitle you to basically turn Ra's beloved Egypt into a hellhole? ...Prepare for the backlash, then, because Sekhmet (just like her myth dictates) is the living embodiment of Ra's fury and cruel side of justice... and she doesn't give a shit for gods using "human-like" feelings to try to excuse any of their behavior.

Sekhmet basically told Horus she's trying to keep Egypt in one piece from all the bullshit the gods are doing with their ridiculous actions, and the reason she was "helping him" is only because Isis is a ticking bomb with a thirst for blood against all gods (for having turned their backs on her in her most desperate time) to the point she's become willing to sacrifice even the most precious things just to get some revenge, and given she's much more powerful than they currently give her credit for (capable of even controlling Nile river gods much more ancient than herself) and if Horus doesn't win Isis will destroy them all, both by drowning all of Egypt (humans and gods and all) by overflooding the Nile and having a foreign army attack them.

I'm really liking Sekhmet because she's neither "good" nor "evil", she's basically the most authentic in her god-like behavior because she doesn't try to imitate human feelings and behaviors (so she's not "corrupted", in the sense that she hasn't become corrupted by human-like yearnings, which is what Ra says is what really went wrong with those other four: Osiris, Seth, Isis, Neftys... and also Anubis and Horus, to a point). Unlike them, Sekhmet acts without drama, like she was just a force of nature... She's the only one here who actually "gets" the bigger picture of all that is really happening, and the nastiest but most effective law enforcing agent I've seen these gods to have (check her myth, that's basically her role).
