Okay I understand his past and why hes completely scared of Jiwon (is that his name,? The blonde) abandoning him but I really feel bad for the blonde having to suffer because of it and not knowing how to help him or really anything about him. If he opened up they'd be able to figure it out together

honestly i prefer the manga 100%. in fact, despite having seen the anime, I decided to read everything from the beginning and continue gradually.
the reason why many people drop it or hate it is because it's actually very messed up. there are lots of different storylines and lots of characters and events. so, you have to be patient to avoid not understanding anything and accept that there are A LOT of mysteries (still now even though we're in chapter 104) but as a fan and supporter, I suggest you give it a try. then it will be up to you to understand if it's for you or not :)
