Nanakusa is the epitome of incorporating personal feelings at workplace in a gradual manner... and the atmosphere has rapidly drifted at the end of the chapter and I believe Nanakusa is the only one who cannot perceive what is going on with her new editor, yet Iwao has already warned her.
I really wanted to point out the quality of the storytelling, the lines, dialogues, and the timeline on how the author prepared and executed it well plus the improvement of the art style, behind the inspiration of the characters and how the author captured the whole models, the intimacy scenes, the angles definitely serving us in a silver platter, that was such a bold move. Although I was a bit concerned in the first several chapters that it might lead to criticism, but I suppose it is the author's immense love towards the readers. :D
Mian and Haegu's suffering and their difficult upbringing are the parts of the psychological trauma got me hooked. The pain and traumatic childhood, Mian has lost her innocence, getting drugged, and the heavy burden of guilt from what happened to her father. That causes hallucinations that creates an entity out of that guilt because it is linked to the trauma bond. I have understood Mian's impetuous attitude from the beginning, but both Mian and Haegu have difficult childhood memories. Both of them have lost their parents when they were young, and Haegu was blinded by vengeance, putting justice in her hands, but in order to do so, she had to undergo extensive training and get closer to being abused by her mentor. After that, she simply became a cold persona. Sometimes the ones who are the strongest are the ones who carry the most inside.
I really love the narrative of the different stages they go through. Their backstory is filled with details of how it began as a revenge attempt to free from the guilt, and tension, instead of focusing on who's more in pain and how that pain manifests in their lives and causes explosive turmoil. We've witnessed it and its effects on individuals, but they've evolved, learned to control it, accepted what had happened, and applied that line to move forward, keep the past behind them, and live in the present.
I'm so glad and enjoyed the entire series and how far the series have come, where it all started as a joint collaborative with author Van Ji when they wrote Winter Woods and you should definitely check out their other series as well. Observing their respective growth and success with their respective projects. It's safe to assume they just love what they're doing. And I hope this is not the last series the author will be creating and keep on supporting this kind of series. And see ya on the author's side note next next week :D

(Research), is an essential step. Considering the requirement tools, sources, themes, thoughts before proceeding into writing anything. They put more effort into how the ideation concept and branding of their work begins in a never ending pitching and debate about what genre will be included in creating the (epilogues, narrative, dialogues, and the flow of the panels). Artists draw inspirations for their work and personal experiences to make it natural and genuine so the readers can relate to the themes and personalities of each models, to theoretical background, or their interests and passions. These are the growth processes of other artists.
(Illustration process), Sketch rough ideas these might range from a couple of character loose sketches panels, messy designs, stick figure painting drawings to get the 3D form poses model to repeatedly creating thumbnails until the idea is solid enough to use. And deep dive into the (color experiment, base colours, shading, color palette, run test effects, shadows, lightning, preliminary drafting layouts, typography font-style, speech bubbles, etc.) :D
(Choose a sketch or concept that appeals of the story) Defines the framing, re-iterate and try pushing what are the thing feels works, fixing what doesn't work, etc. Sometimes an artist uses a sketch to assist connecting with the intended form. Loop up specific references (for details, clothing, anatomy, background etc.)
(Refining output) Getting too specific or organizing the arrangement of the layouts. the objective is to ensure that the sketch provides the most generic work to specific. (As close to the final thing) look feasible so that It can be evaluated by getting feedback to meet up with the expectations. The rest are filtering making adjustments then render for exporting output, then repeating the cycle of the process by re-using (templates, angles, poses, backgrounds) for another pre-production chapters and the scheduled weekly or bi-weekly chapters to assess. I could have missed some details, but that's the main idea of the procedure and I hope there are more opportunities for the creators to express their creativity.

I think that's the essence of how every reader can relate to expressing and correlate various genres, it's like a cognitive immersion taking place as you assess what you've understood in development relation, the dynamics to the pairings and how it ended well, on the other hand the author's extent of the series scope and the way it reveals the world of individuals who serves justice and lawbreakers, as well as the viewpoints of ethical and unethical thinker's and how different they view the lives they have led. Commenting on Haegu's cold persona you mentioned. It was a stunted persona because after her parents died she never experienced love. The years where most of us get interested she was trying to stay alive. She wanted Mian to kill her and release her but Mian really brought her to life. I don't think the story would have worked with the main characters being anything but two girls. The aspect of an older guardian having sex with their charge plus the age difference would have made it pretty yuk. Since they were both damaged so much I think it works. - you end up rooting for them. Some of the sex scenes were gratuitous (didn't keep me from looking and yes, so well drawn) but it was the main channel to convey passion, strong passion between the leads. I'll quit.
I definitely agree with your thoughts and anchoring it with PTSD at such a young age is unbearable to experience and the conflicts of Haegus' life based on her case and how it entirely affected her character, on how the author connected it to make it feel real, raw, and believable, even depicted it with taboos. Just like the portrayal of the age gap, but I acknowledge how difficult it is to digest between their dynamics adding the tension, and vulnerability, which is why I mentioned about the criticism it may have caused in the various chapters due to the family relationship like set-up, then progresses to explicit, on the contrary I also found myself wondering whether that level of explicitness always served the story or was just playing to the viewer. That said, it was a way to convey intensity or either way. If I put my two cents in the matter for me the important part is the overall concept the themes and how we enriched and distort the fiction to reality and being cautious on what we read, interpreting the author's work appropriately and not afraid to reinvent.
And even in black in white Heagu is a stunning badass that we all fell in love with. Mian? Took a little longer. The explicit scene with Russian roulette made me really question her sanity yet the scene with the teacher at the beginning suggest Mian implicitly trusted Haegu to keep her safe. Such contradictions made both characters so interesting.
Yeah right, I do recall that chapter. Disregarding the dialogues in that scene, I also thought she would lose it and seek vengeance, but instead the character would just leave a track of unforgettable moments and psychological tolls, prompting introspection about the scene's essence while introducing contradictions that enrich the narrative and add layers to their personalities.
It's time to marinate, wrap it up, and prepare the thick coating so the author can simmer this masterpiece.

Man Rebecca's way too messed up. Daniela is just way too obsessed with Rebecca that's why Rebecca's having a hard time making a decision whether to follow her purpose in the first place or follow Daniela.
I can't still get over with them, it has that significant effect while re-reading this. I'm so fascinated by the plot and how the author uncovered the perspective of the individual character, the twists and turns of misunderstanding, the manipulation and being deceived by the person you love and trusted, the wrong decisions that has made to the story. This is not our usual yuri plot that we've encountered where it focuses on the positive side. And besides Seon and Mari are supposed to be a couple, but thoroughly they aren't meant to be together or maybe they can but at what cost? It is another full spectrum of emotions from their past decisions that made a negative impact of their lives and that would end in a terrifying condition. Look there are so many layers if they will be together again and It is better to end it that way and take that leap to heal first and move forward.
