Love this one so much that I always come back to it every so often. It’s a story that only truly makes sense if you’ve been in a similar situation on either or both sides. The author really conveyed both sides really well and got the emotions down to a T. Very bittersweet ending but I’m glad both sides understand
Now why did Cedric become super handsome in the last panel. Dude was already good looking but the artist put in a LOT of effort in the last panel
Anyway, I’m rooting for Cedric and Jesse because the mc has a lot of influence on Cedric and it’s clear that Cedric cares very much for him..he’s just a tsundere
It's been an entire year.... please pick this back up again. Idk if this has been dropped by the author or the translator, but I'm just hoping it's the latter. That way, we will still at least have the raws and the story continues on. I really enjoyed this by how they handled the suicide and such thoughts. I lowkey almost cried at some parts. Although it was very much on-the-nose and straightforward, it was still relatable and I personally thought it was done well. I like that even after she woke back up from the attempt, she still couldn't really find the meaning or purpose to life and didn't know if she could ever find one, despite knowing that the people around her truly love her.
Yknow what,,, I decided to pick this story up again because I thought it would be less confusing,,but now I’m a little bit more confused. I understand that the higher up the tower they go, the stronger the barrier gets (but also the more agitated the fingernail gets).. but I still don’t understand how the mc is their only hope of progressing up the tower? Is it because of the Grand Duke’s dream??? Is it because the mc was a really good king? And the two past deaths… what caused it? Was it related to the Grand Duke’s dream???
Anyway, justice to that blue knight. I like him a lot
The guides manipulated Luhak's reply to Sehyun's question 'cause he was progressing through the game too fast and was making the beta version bug out.
So basically Sehyun is the closest to achieving the dream 'cause he's the only person so far to fully feel the weight of the lives in his kingdom, and that is somehow in line with Luhak's dream for him.
We don't know exactly what that dream is, but it's the reason why Luhak hasn't interfered with Sehyun's decision making. So far the choices he has made don't deviate from the goal.
As for Sehyun's past deaths, it could very much have something to do with the dreams. With the previous kings it was always the grand Duke that assassinated them. Those kings were too tied up in their own self-gain to be able to make the kingdom prosper so Luhak axed them.
Waaaait this was so good and the 2 plot twists at the end were so crazy and genuinely unexpected but I don’t hate it. It was foreshadowed way beforehand so it makes sense and I really cannot hate it. I just wish they had more time to flesh out that whole plot with the uncle and the aunt. Like they show ONE singular panel of the uncle and aunt arrested and on trial at the end… but like… where’s the actual plot for that? I’m assuming it was because of what Cedric and the grandpa was talking about, but you’d expect that the author would actually show it happening and show Cedric finding actual evidence to put them in jail…and then also finished up with the whole “grandpa letting the uncle and aunt talk down to cedric” by showing a scene where he apologized and such. Without that kind of scene, I feel sad for the grandpa because it seems like Dillon never forgave him so she probabaly never allowed the grandpa to see the great grandchild. But I can’t really be mad at that because it IS her child anyway. I just thought they would give the grandpa a redemption scene since it seemed like he was meant to be a good character that brought happiness to the family overall.
The author definitely rushed through the other smaller plot lines that they put in,so that they can focus on the romance. The romance was still VERY VERY good and this story was super hilarious so I can overlook the plot line stuff. Excellent story overall
Even after a night of sleeping, this story still bothers me and has stayed on my mind in a way that other manwhas with similar plots have not. I think I am slightly mad at the author for ending it like that without really fleshing out those certain plot points and not giving the grandpa his redemption arc where he apologizes. Justice for grandpa. This story was so so good and I love it so so much, so that's why it bothers me that the story ended way before it should have. I don't know if the author got tired of it or was rushed by their publishing company but maaan. This definitely deserved longer chapters. I haven't genuinely laughed this hard at a manwha in a long while and I love the characters so much. The rushed ending (not the romance) makes me so mad that I want to make fanart for this story to give them a proper ending. The romance part of this story was fantastically done and I don't have any qualms with it. Just wish to see more of their happiness tbh.
I hope Yiheon’s story gets turned into a manwha as well. Hes such a pretty character and it seems like his story would be really interesting since he has a complex backstory, had to work multiple jobs and he’s really perceptive when it comes to people’s relationships and feelings. Also the fucking size difference between Yiheon’s and the Seme… holy shit
If there’s a translated version of Yiheon’s web novel, please link it if you know
