Both Psyche and Medea have a point. While it's a good thing to lie to truly expose the
wrong doings, it's also risky if they get caught. Medea may not be trusted anymore
and if they find that Psyche was involved, their empire would become chaotic and they wouldn't know who to rely on anymore. The situation is worsened because of the nobles crimes. But that's only if the people knew they lied.
Anyways, I love how Psyche is standing for her own beliefs instead of following everything Medea says. And I also like how Medea is pushing back with her own. They actually have conflict, and these things can strengthen their relationship. Two different ideas with the same goal. Truly makes the story fun and interesting.
