I don't like Raymond too but Agnes'dying scene was written so much better in the novel.

I mean the guy said in earlier chapters-- no he begged to at least change how the magic works. For example, let the stone magic come undone with a kiss. So all our ML should do is kiss her stone statue and she'll revive.

The 50 years is just a countermeasure.

It has potential and it's interesting.
