I stopped reading this at chapter 52 in order to let it build but now I read up to 56 and it seems like the MC’s personality is a little different and I don’t like how the story is progressing so far. Does the book get better later on again or should I stop reading?
the plot is totally different. there’s someone who wanted to be a satan and he totally changed the world. the earth is in apocalyptic state and the mc basically tries to destroy him and i guess he will try to save the world.
its not bad but im kinda disappointed bcs at first it looked like this story will be about something totally different
And the art f*ckin literally blows now! It would be somewhat tolerable after chp. 50 something if the changed art style didn't completely ruin the entire thing!

She got married to the emperor as a scapegoat because her clan doesn’t like the emperor. They faked everything abt how shes the precious daughter but in reality she’s neglected. Each clan has to send one of their children to the emperor as a consort, so the emperor could use their powers for the empire’s benefit. The reason why it’s straight bc mc is 8 yrs old and its pretty weird if you’re expecting to hav romance from the emperor also spoiler;:……..

I believe it’s bc since the empress does not know how to love, it doesn’t matter the gender and consorts who have powers will be loyal to the empress since they’re married, which would ultimately give the empress more power despite the gender. More of a political move
She was offered as a consort by her family, but she got adopted by the empress instead. Tho, would you *really* wanna see the empress rizz up an 8 year old? Lmao
No I wasn’t expecting them to get together bc the age difference would be insane I just thought since women marrying women is allowed I thought it would be GL in general but I get it now given her new title
You also have to remember that for a large part of history, marriage has been a way of uniting families, not just as a pact of love between two people. Our current concept of marriage is relatively new. This is especially true for a lot of asian cultures, where the cultural mindset is more communal/based on community (I forget the exact word) compared to the individualistic mindset/values seen in many western cultures. (This also hasn't always been the case, but yeah, it's how it be now).
