I feel so ambivalent about this because of the author's other work. I mostly loved "Roses and Champagne (Yaoi)" and I like to pretend that the major traumatic event that seme caused uke mever happened but "Kiss Me, Liar" which this is based on was tortorous for 80% of the time and I despised the seme for most of the story. The fact that this is a sequel set in that same universe and already shows an arrogant seme with appaling character (character solely judged based on the synopsis), it doesn't bode well for a good read. I will still give this a shot

I hope that MC has an actual plan and didn't just help the asshole just because said asshole showed him 0.01% decent behaviour after 99.99% of their time together being pure torture. Even if ML (I assume the garbage guy is ML) is a saint who infiltrated this organization and is doing the lord's work, that does not negate the sexual torture that he forced upon MC. That alone makes him worthless garbage. So, for MC to help him it's just .... unfathomable at this point. But, I will wait because maybe this is one of those situations where ML is garbage but there are worse garbage are there and MC'S actions are "for the greater good". I can get behind that since he acts like a justice warrior but even then, if he eventually falls for ML, it would be beyond stupid. Let'S wait and see how this develops....I just hope that I don't have to drop this because I'm running low on stories with an interesting physically strong uke

This won't satisfy you. Basically, there is no major regret or chasing arc. They'll get back together pretty soon and the asshole won't grovel at all. In chapter 62, seme almost sleeps with someone else and in chapter 64, uke is like "you played with me. I won't chase you anymore" and seme is like "shut up. You still like me" then seme says the weakest shittiest I love you ever and uke is like "let me forget everything and dump the remainder of my self esteem and jump back to the arms of this guy who will definitely abuse me again". Yay!
