I'm rereading this now because I was bored so, I went through my lists and just picked random stories to reread and this happened to be one of them....While I was reading chapter 1, I remembered that years ago, I commented how it's beyond weird to ask a friend to give you access to their place to have sex. I remember my comment being controversial and people even DMed me because they felt so passionate about this haha

Years later, I still have the same opinion. This isn't even a case where a guy asks their roommate to stay out later than usual or free their place for a date. Nope, this is a friend asking for their friend's place for the explicit intention to fuck.....yeah no. I love some of my friends and I would do a lot for them but this is not one of those things. It's so disrespectful and made more abhorrent by the fact that they didn't clean after themselves.

I wonder if this is a normalized thing amongst guys but none of my girl friends would do this.

I sympathize with the mom but like in real life, I can never forgive a mother than leaves her child behind and escapes. If being with the abuser was hell for her, a grown ass adult, how dare she abandon an innocent child in that same environment and just run away? If an adult was suffering, what made her think that her child wouldn't be in the same situation and even a worse one considering that most abusive fathers blame the kid when the mother runs away...

Her abuse is of course not her fault by any means but not taking her child and just running by herself is 100% your fault

MC is kind of a magnet for red flag guys...ML is one FOR SURE, the twink is another, and it pains me to say but even the guy I like, the hyung is a red flag just for being a loan shark (I think he is a good guy deep down but his "profession" is legally and ethically dubious to say the least)

In all seriousness, I wouldn't be so pissed off at this type of plot if I was sure that every single person reading this shit is mature and will not get infleunced by this type of toxicity....I read so much toxic garbage when I was a teen that could've messed me up and made me accept abuse as part of romance but I managed to avoid that because I was an introvert for most of that time ( I internalized this shit and didn't get in a single relationship) and by the time I became more mature, I realized it was all nonsense.

I just hope that most people read this shit and either drop it or enjoy it without it impacting their own perception.

I actually like that the author did this because it made no sense for the buff MC to not be able to fuck up that scrawny ass motherfucker....so, MC is fucked up and could've escaped but didn't. At least that makes sense.

Considering that in real life Nobunaga committed sepuku, unless this story was going for "alternate ending for a real character whose end we know", the chances of the story having a happy ending were slim so, I'll take a sorta frustrating ending over tragedy

the tragic MC bullshit trope is so exhausting to read....it's one thing when MC meets ML when he's down on his luck but I find no enjoyment in this type of story where MC's life could've been a greek tragedy from the moment he was born

I knew that the long haired guide was going to become somewhat of a friend to MC but I was expecting it to happen progressively...this makes no sense. We saw him taunting MC as they looked at the broadcast and he was the furthest thing from friendly and now he acts like he is some childhood friend who has always had MC's back. If the novel showed more details of them getting closer while MC was at their guild and away from ML then, the manhwa did a horrible job of portraying that

I don't like either semes but that isn't even my biggest gripe with this story. I'm annoyed by the whole "seal" thing. I'm not one to cry "I want MC to be super OP and if he has powers, it's a waste to seal them" but this is different: that seal is a death sentence basically. It's not that he has become weak but can have a semblance of a normal life. He is constantly producing magic that cannot be used so he is a ticking time bomb ...how is this a peaceful life? You're telling me that in this world where advanced magic exits, there is no spell to force him to never oppose the king, if that is the desired outcome? He is dependent on people that he needs to have sex with or else he will die a painful death. This is the furthest thing from a peaceful life

The raws go up to chapter 46 and nothing changes. It's the same cycle of torture except that the empress got pregnant (or is pretending to be? the machine learning translator was confusing). In recent chapters MC got kidnapped and raped. But, it's exactly what happened in the frst 5 chapters or so, it just goes on and on forever. Don't expect the emperor to become any less of a worthless piece of shit. MC is so broken that he didn't even try to escape or kill himself at any point even though he looks like a zombie all the time.

Reading this story when I was having a depressing day already was not the move

I'm tired of these garbage stories. I can tolerate stories where one character is a little mean as in not super polite and appear standoffish but get softer when they fall in love....but I get no enjoyment (and I don't understand how anyone else can) from stories where seme blackmails, rapes, terrifies, and asserts his dominance over uke by having awful dubious consent sex (if not straight out rape) with him in front of others despite his protest.....
