I don't dislike this story, it's just making me feel anxious lol initially, I didn't like the cold MC but I started to sympathize with him as soon as I learned about his bastard father and poor mother. Dude had no choice but to grow a little cold to survive.
The ML is a walking talking red flag, though. Whether he slept with MC's friend or not (if author decides to reveal that there is some misunderstanding later on), he is asking for commitment from MC to not sleep with anyone else and to date him but he uses the same words he used with MC's dead friend and also even if by some miraculous plot twist it is revealed that he never had any relationship with MC's friend, the fact that he didn't explain it to MC is a major red flag. It's clear he lusts after MC but nothing more. This is weird and his motivations seem sinister
