Likewise, the audio drama is still going on, I think..? Mo dao zu shi is going to be a very long journey on many mediums. I think everything is paced with that in mind. The manhua may be the most behind in terms of storyline, but so far it's following the novel direction without deviation yet, which makes it a special version among a certain fan demographic. I think it'll be worth the wait if we actually get to see some suggestive scenes drawn out? Anyway, it's not like the manhua team are drawing randomly. They've scheduled and drafted and plotted out everything precisely to an agenda. Since it's being advertised right on the donghua every week, it's gotta have some reputation. And there are many cases of manhua switching artists when something is going wrong irl for whatever reason, so if the pace right now is due to issues, then it'll likely be fixed on the way. It isn't an amateur project, it's professional.

The 5 newest chapters are always for paid access on official manhua site. English translators are only releasing the chapters as they become free to public. This move by eng translators is to keep things as fair as possible. That's why they are a bit slower. The russian version is not following this courtesy.
