Yk, I'm really not one to push much criticism on these types of stories (meaning, yaoi) but this has really just took a huge plummet. The main story was sooo good and now this?! All these chapters for a side character none of us gave a rat's ass about Also the fact that Boss made a point to tell Dajeong he didn't save him from his father bc CSA is wrong, he just found it annoying. And Boss said him and his father weren't too different. I think what that psycho Boss really found annoying was the fact his father was targeting Dajeong and getting in the way of Boss targeting him.
It's just wild bc the main characters had such interesting and relatively mellow storylines and then to sideswipe us with "Mr. My Dad Was A Pedo And Tried To SA The Child I Was Thinking of Killing But Also Kinda/Maybe Would've SA'd So I Decided To Abuse Said Child As An Adult Bc Wooo
I agree. I’ve never ever left any sort of reply on stories, even ones I dislike because I just move on with my day. But this is the first one where it genuinely just BAFFLED me at how bad it is and made me angry enough to write about. I’m sure some will defend it with the excuse it meant to be some fucked up toxic romance but like??? Even if it’s meant to be that it just feels like the author is throwing random curve balls for the sake of it to make it shocking and more fucked. Cuz not only was it bad from the start with the taking advantage and borderline abuse but then this chapter with the boss having murderous tendencies and even attempting to kill him when he was only a child? It did a complete 180 from the vibe of the main story and it’s hard to believe that this and the main story are connected in any way

Author has managed to make a character who's more of an ass than Joo Jaekyung. At least Jaekyung's low-key getting better and doesn't go out of his way to hurt Dan (even in the early chapters, it could be debated he never did; he was just completely indifferent [aka- a piece of sh:t]). But this mf is a hard case of just dgaf and is cruel.
I don't care WHAT the redemption arc is, this mf will have to bring forth the coming of Jesus Christ himself before I'll ever be good with him again.
