Calico male cats do exist! They're just intersex. See, the genetic code for a calico pattern to fur requires 2 X chromosomes. Now, as most of you know, the typical sex chromosomes for most mammals are XX (designated female at birth, or DFAB) and XY (designated male at birth, or DMAB) though depending on certain other conditions this can change. Thus, most calico cats are female!

Occasionally, mammals are born with other chromosomal pairings. One of these is XXY. Male calico cats have this chromosomal pairing! It's fairly uncommon as compared to XX and XY, though it's not actually as rare as you would think... Especially not in people, where it's called Klinefelter Syndrome. People with this condition are normally DMAB.
For those curious, some of the symptoms of this condition are things like sterility (though in some cases, for humans, they can actually have kids with fertility treatments), difficulty with executive functioning (things like planning and memory), growth of breasts (gynecomastia), small testicles, poor coordination, above-average height, and weak muscles.
