Especially with every person and their dog feeling the need to open their very own, shiny new thread to vent their anger, beat their chests and pull their hairs out. Because merely replying to an existing thread won't do, of course... ;)

But how was she even remotely hypocritical, tokidoki? Unlike hundreds of people here over the last few days, she/he didn't open a new thread to post her opinion (and most people even did it twice, on the first and on the second day), but merely replied to an already existing one. Which was precisely the point she was trying to make.

And she is absolutely right. I get that people are frustrated, but do we need to hear from each and everyone of these 300 people as they all open new threads to lament the non-update and everyone using the word F*** at least three times per sentence or saying things like "I'll go and kill myself now!!!!"?? Does everyone have to act like the world is coming to an end?

Also, there was a really interesting discussion going on regarding Asami and Akihito at the time the fake update happened which is now on page 20 or something. But I honestly don't feel like wading through 20 pages of people complaining about something so trivial. My god, people have some problems... Meanwhile little kids are burnt or killed by Napalm in Syria. There is something to get upset about.

I confess that some of those complaints made me laugh, and I needed that since I'm having a hard time these days, but, yeah, our discussions before the ton of complaints that happened in the last two days were more interesting.
And I agree there are more important things going in the world.

Oh dear, Lady, I'm so sorry to hear that. :( I hope it is something that will let you see the end of the tunnel really soon and that things and times will get better. I can totally relate: August was a horrible month for me (family bereavements and more). One that I would rather forget. And as I posted here on the board at the time, it was nice to come here at the end of some really bad days and just smile, or laugh or giggle at something our witty regulars had said. When times are tough and your soul is bruised, it is surprising how much these little things help. Keeping you in my thoughts and in my heart, girl, and sending you lots of hugs. Hope things will get better for you soon. X X X

Thanks, my friend. You know, when someone whom you're married for more than ten years tells you , out of the blue, that he doesn't love you anymore and that wants to live a life by his own, that can really hurt (it's like a kick on the heart). Thanks for the hugs!

Oh, Lady... That is just horrible. I wish I could give you that hug in person. You are such a kind, lovely, warm person (and yes, a true LADY, in capital letters) and I wish this wasn't happening to you right now. I wish I could say that there was a quick fix, that things will get better soon, but this is a loss and it is a hurt and it sits deep and will continue to do so for a long time. Like you said, as if someone has kicked or stabbed you in the heart. It feels like the ultimate betrayal. But from what I have seen of you, here and on our dear Krambi's page, you reakky have a lot of strength in you (maybe more than you are aware of at the moment). It is not an easy road, but I believe you can take it. Rely an your support system, your family, your friends. But most of all, learn to rely on yourself again. And even it sounds lie a clichee, it actually isn't, because: "It's not you, it's him". You are loveable. And if he doesn't do that any more, it is literally his loss, not yours. So don't let this stop you from respecting and loving yourself, because you deserve both. You will get through this eventually, even if it takes time.

And, I have not once cursed - nor do I feel like the world is coming to an end - so chill, snark.

No, she didn't, Tokidoki. I know this for a fact, because I know now who posted the comment (it is someone I know from LJ and she PMed me about it). She posted just that one reply in this thread and that was it. So I'm sorry, but you have it wrong. Whoever opened a new thread afterwards was an entirely different person (you do know that all these "anonymous" are all different users, who are just not signed in, right?). Sometimes it helps not to draw conclusions so quickly and not to accuse others of being hypocrites when in fact they are not.
Also, I never said you cursed or that you were saying the world was coming to an end. I was of course talking about the 300 people who all opened a new thread to complain (and who DID curse a lot). I have no idea why you are being so aggressive towards me, when I never even said that and wasn't attacking you in the slightest. So maybe you should be the one taking the chill pill. I'll refrain from visiting and posting here from now on. Fortunately, there are other places to discuss Viewfinder without being attacked like this when I have been nothing but respectful to others since I joined this board. Very disappointed in you! :( :(

Uh, I gather it's because they're only commenting/complaining without trying to start out a conversation. Kind of like how people comment on content on websites such as youtube.

Mildly annoying for the few people who prefer having conversations in here sure, but not exactly head scratching.
