The eye makeup looking like shyte is prob cus of the artstyle. Very cartoony any consistent line weight with very angular shading. The softmess of the smokey eye and the shade just dont look good because makeup like that is ment to be paired with heavy bronzing, highlights and just really obvious values in real life makeup making the flat looking art just look ugly. The bun is inexcusable and imo just a bad choice in the design department.

He’s the emperor though I would assume with his spiritual ability he should be able to do away with the current empress in some way even if it looks unjust. Despite that he hasn’t done anything.
