I'm not really sure what to make of this :/ It was a really good yaoi. It's the only yaoi that I've read that had a cliche shojo romance feel to it and that made it really cute and unique :D But the thing is, I have no idea what it is that makes it feel like a cliche shojo romance manga
The flow of the story line was pretty cliche and shoujo-esk. Hot, negatively rumored guy looks for shy unknown girl, or in this case a guy. bad guy turns out good, relationship goes well and stuff. the only thing it missed to be pin point shoujo cliche is a misunderstanding of sorts. Also the atmosphere and lack of depth in the characters adds to the shoujo cliche.
Actually I think it's cause there wasn't a misunderstanding that it seems like a shojo cause in the few straight love mangas I've read there wasn't a misunderstanding. And I've seen this kinda setting before in yaoi (that the hot delinquent who is misunderstood falls for either the shy guy in class, mr. popular, or the cute guy)
It says there's a prequal... Where is it??
it's this one

I hate it how people are like "this manga's shit. He says he likes someone but fucks a whole bunch of other people." Obviously these people didn't really pay attention the story, otherwise they'd know that he has to be a prostitute. The orphanage needs money, and the only way that akatsuki can get money is through prostitution cause he's uneducated and a commoner. And then he finds out that only a highclass prostitute can get into the castle or whatever to see anyone of the royal family. So now he HAS to be a prostitute to see sagami, and akatsuki said that he'd rather die than not be able to see him. So he's got no choice
They're all such precious cinnamon rolls I want more~
