yeah romance ones arent that good. one chapter the lead is fighting and then the next chapter is a whole new doki doki romance manga with rarely any fighting. and theres a whole new goal for the lead
one of the biggest flaw about romance-fantasy is that they're all very cliche. this is probably the first manga that i actually enjoy and cant predict what'll happen
This has awards and all but why is this low rated though? It's expected that it's a mature story given that both are a middle aged couple and the tags are also seinen, slice of life without romance. Both complement one another with their personalities, it's nice and refreshing to see realistic daily lives depicted instead of drama, explicit sex and such. Definitely going on my list!

It's low rated because Mangago is full of thirsty fujoshis who just want to fetishizes gay man so they get bored if it there isn't drama or sex, I mean I do read some typical "yaoi" manga and I can enjoy them but I think stories like 'What did you eat yesterday?' needs to be more appreciate than the other ones since they portray gay relationships very well
I only started this recently but from what I can tell you get a lot of recipes and see them grow even older together, even though there's not much romance (no romance tag) the story develops burning slow and hot to serve a warm and gentle taste of its unique dynamic. Also highlights lgbt+ issues in Japan realistically from many characters pov, not bring up the typical unacceptance for the sake of only using it as some sort of element to create drama. gotta say I'm surprised a female wrote this. I see even some stories in "yaoi" are low rated by some with reasons it didn't explicitly show sex/their parts and it's 'not uncensored,’ It's ridiculous to base the entire story on trivial reasons like that.

Since the author has two similar associated names (?) that webtoon is under the other one. idk who set it up maybe i could change it so the webtoon can be under same name as this and get more recognition but not sure I'm in the place to do so.
okay with this afterword everything makes sense now. Author wrote a slice of life about a bittersweet love triangle [without disclosing Toma's crush] but editors wanted it to be Taichi and the author only touched up few chapters so this unexpected ending is understandable.
for those who were upset about the lack of representation, lgbt term was beginning to get across at the time which author was unaware of what it is at that time. Like others I also wanted more Toma and Taichi but in the end, this is only written with the intention to be about characters choices and values not to represent other things.

ahh i read it back and it was meant to be taichi but not revealed, I skipped the tiny written part and missed "already is." ig author only wanted to focus on character development instead of romance. my statement still stands that editors saying it can be revealed and author making few changes to the original idea and not so much on Toma x Taichi though
yeah! and i thought it was really powerful what the author said about all their feelings being equally important, that one person's love isn't more special or important than another's

Not surprised by the 'plot twist' because the cover gave it away, twice. What Sean said in ch.3 confirmed it but I was still doubtful due to the Supernatural genre tag, which is unnecessary I must say. Wrong placement on this site or the author did it to throw off readers?
Think of it as romeo and juliet. The whole point of the play was not the plot twist but how the plot twist became. That's why the first scene spoils the ending.
