I will never understand how people could just be like "the bottom needs to get over it." "Su-ah is just trying to protect him." "He deserves better. He needs to find another Omega." You can feel bad for both of them because both of their feelings are valid and let acknowledg the harm that the alpha has for scenting the mc for years because what the top is doing whether or not him scenting the mc is out of "good will" or malicious intent.Scenting an omega for a very long time especially without their knowledge is considered abuse.
Puting your own scent or marking an omega is used in the omegaver to show that the omega has an "owner" majority of the time. Alpha not only do this to omega but beta that they like and this practice can isolates the omega/beta from other people because other people can notice that smell. Other omegaver stories, scenting or pouring pheromones can also lead to their secondary sex changing. For example in story from zig where beta can be turn into an omega against their will if they are exposed to alpha pheromones for a long period of time. Another reason it is considered a form of abuse to be scenting an omega without their consent is how the omega will naturally become more dependent on that pheromones. They will naturally like that pheromones the best and become sensitive to others pheromones.They won't be able to get used to other people pheromones and this could also cause irregular heat circle which can still put the omega at risk of being assaulted by others alpha and the alpha that scented them themselves. In addition, it's also kinda forced the omega to see that alpha as the only partner because their pheromones fits like a gloves and that pheromones makes the omega feels safe.
So keeps that in your fucking mind before crying out and hating on the omega, wanting him to be abused, be the one chasing the alpha who condition him to need him and just accept the alpha constant interference in his life while he is working on his own goal and acceptance of his secondary genders.

Being mean is more of a crime to bl readers then crossing boundaries and sexual assault. You don't love complex characters. You want a black and white character and you want a perfect victim and even then you can't sympathize or understand them because let face it. As long as they hot and take on the masculine role. You'll either justify or sympathize with them.

Is the uke really annoying? Because I can't seem to find him annoying. And idk why there are so many with this mentality of immediately jumping to hate on the uke and pitying the top. This is Ian story. He is the mc. Like do Ian haters not comprehend that? You're reading a love triangle not some simple straight up romance. It's always the "They're grown ass man" Turama don't go away with aging? Especially not when you spend two decades going through it and he's still going through it. He is still actively fighting depression and his drug addiction until these days. Some of you just can't handle love triangle because the moment you read one, you immediately jump into taking side with one of the ML without even following the story or trying to understand the complex situation and relationship that the characters have. It not about them not acting their age. It's about you not being able to handle any sort of conflict or realism in a story especially when the mc doesn't act according to your expectations of what you deem is your standards and morals because you already have a biased opinion for the one you're rooting for. Your whining is not gonna change anything about Jo liking Ian. That is the characters choice and the author choice for their character.
