remembrance's Manga

read 65 chapters. the pace is sooo goddamn slow, holy shit. so many scenes and even whole episodes feel like fillers. the scenarios are so repetitive too. and the way the characters behave is incredibly far-fetched. it's like they all live in candy land. everyone is incredibly pure and candid. joel or lin you or whatever in particular. yeah, he didn't get to socialize when he was a kid, but his naivety isn't believable at all. it's too much. the fact that no one gets annoyed by him is even less believable. it's like no characters can ever act even a little rude, not even when they're having a bad day. everyone is always super understanding and caring. it's bullshit. it's not only the way characters behave that's far-fetched, it's also the things out of their control that happen. it's like the story wants you to laugh with it at how absurd the things that happen are. so many coincidences and turn of events that have you thinking "how did things turn out this way!?". it was really tiring to read up until this point and i don't think i have it in me to keep going. mara or yi kui is cute and handsome etc. and i really like him. but joel or lin you kinda pisses me off a little 'cause his character albeit cute is just not fucking human. he behaves like a toddler but without the temper tantrums, unless he's drunk, and even then he just cries ('cause no one in this manga is allowed to get mad lest they're rude). it's frankly a little off-putting to imagine an adult behaving the way he does and having other adults be attracted to him. and the author says he has a disease and it's like ~the disease~, there's no further explanation. he's just ~sickly~. it's like the author put no thought into it. a lot of things in this story feel like that, like the author just wanted it to happen so they gave it no further thought and just shoved it into the story immediately. in the end that makes this manga feel like a lot of self-indulgent fluff without any interesting ideas or a clear purpose behind anything. it might be enough for some people but i need a little more than that.
