Am I the only one who feels like they’re downplaying everything the ML did? Like I get that it wasn’t his fault what happened to her mom and he was also abused. BUT what IS his fault is him forcing the FL to marry him when she clearly hated him at the time. If she hated him so much it doesn’t take much brain power to conclude she wouldn’t want to sleep with him, so how do we think she had a child? Sure, it probably was something like oh we need to spend a night together to consummate the marriage, but imagine how terrible that was for her. Being with the man you associate with your mother’s death. When you look at it from that perspective, it’s not crazy that she felt animosity towards her child. Ofc it’s not the child’s fault, but she was forced to have him with a man she despised. Pretty messed up if you think about it.
