I know this is just a fictional story and all but I see people in the comments having trouble with understanding consent so, here we go:
Would Dan agree to have sex with JK if he did have a choice and wasn't desperately in need of money? NO!
Consent is supposed to be enthusiastic and dynamic and Dan's case is the opposite. He dreads having sex with JK and constantly asks him to stop.
So, under normal circumstances, where the two of them would have stood on equal ground and the power dynamic between them was the same, Dan wouldn't have agreed to sex and he would've probably reported JK for sexual harassment.
Even if that wasn't the case, Dan didn't agree to be abused and humiliated so brutally and violently, nothing consensual is going on here, JK is just using Dan's weakness to exploit him.

I read this in like middle school and I really liked it, but now I can better articulate why after rereading as an adult.
It’s easy to get frustrated Min Gyeom, but it’s also easy to relate to him. He’s only 17 in this story, he himself hasn’t unpackaged a trauma that many adults don’t handle until much later in life. No one has supported him, he’s never gone to therapy, he doesn’t have many close relationships.
Throughout the roughest part of the story, he was taken advantage of by an adult he thought he could trust. A 24 year old manipulated and had intimacy with a drunk 17 year old. I couldn’t really understand the gravity of this as a middle schooler, but I understand how and why Min gyeom had reached that point.
In the first place, I feel like it’s easy to view Min gyeom in a negative light because of the way he narrates. Seeing the story through his lens, you can see how much self hatred he has. It’s easy to dislike him as well because it seems he makes the same mistake over and over again, but that’s how trauma and mental illness work. It’s a pattern of feeling insecure and low self esteem that permeates his relationships, especially a romantic one.
Not to mention, Chun Sam is also a horrible communicator at first because he’s not used to social interaction lmao- so it’s even easier for Min Gyeom to misunderstand. Chun Sam's been through a lot because he’s ill equipped to support Min Gyeom at first, and is also emotionally/physically impacted by Min Gyeom. Since Chun Sam is pretty anxious himself, and can’t survive without Min Gyeom. Not to mention, their earlier dynamic probably triggers a lot of unpleasant memories for Min Gyeom and his abusive father.
Not to say that Min Gyeom didn’t hurt Chun Sam, and that their relationship was sunshine and rainbows in the beginning, but it was really sweet to see them resolve their issues one by one, together. They learn to talk to each other, Chun Sam learns that he should set certain boundaries for his own sake, Min Gyeom is slowly but surely learning it’s safe to lean on Chun Sam and his family for support. Though it’s still difficult and they still make mistakes, it gets better, and they understand each other more each time they fight.
Anyways I recommend this story to those who enjoy complex characters with complex emotions :D

this msg is directly for cesare's little minions who look like his hanging ballsack that im about to castrate
seeing a panel of cesare makes me want to meet a therapist. his existence is the visual representation of a trigger warning.
"cesare's color scheme matches ariadne's more than alfonso's" can u stfu? mf's color palette was based off a fucking toothpaste. idgaf if ariadne and cesare is giving "baddie" couple or if they seem more "compatible"; because first of all, were u closing ur eyes when u were reading the first chapters? even a blind person can identify how fucked up cesare is, yet yall still simp over him. yall still ship him with ariadne? why? oh. because hes a pretty boy if i ship u with ur abuser who has cheated, used, and even murdered u... would u still act as naive as u are doing right now? probably yes because you guys barely got an inch of dignity and self-respect
"oh but he's changed!" bitch pls... i'll put more faith in donald trump's character development than that human ass period clot. and you know... personally, id rather be a hoe for anyone other than a man who's like the manhwa equivalent of elvis presley. yall are fucked in the head, and i will always blame you guys as the main cause for climate change, world hunger, poverty, racism, and mass genocide.
the world wouldve been better without your presence. i sincerely wish that your father ejaculated on the bedsheet instead of your poor mom's womb that has to bear and feed a stupid child. i said what i said.

I don't need one damn person in the comment section somehow wants Yeonwoo to think logically, A middle schooler kid who got insecure about his looks since a young age, became a bully target in school, and not just any bullying like trying to push him to fall or throwing food on his head , He is being treated as a different gender, they're erasing his entire identity harrassed his friends and threatended him and even SAed him, and some square headed here trying to convince us he shouldn't be dependant and think logically, The person is going through SEVERE depression, he doesn't have time to think about being independent!!
