Personally, I think bringing back hyesungs mum in this story is alright on its own. We get to know dojin atleast financially supports her, is in touch with her but that was it. Dojin is probably doing it for hyesung's sake to avoid complications (like making hyesungs feelings conflict and stuff) I would imagine. BUT I will not stand for any "why don't you reconnect with grandma?" type shi even if it came from the current mc, unless they talk it out calmly, but still. Hyesung should never forgive her and that's good enough to know. But this story isn't about hyesung mainly, so meh.
