Hmm i get why people are still mad at inwoos mom for leaving him with her abuser (believe me my father was abusive as well). But im seeing people calling her dumb for doing so. In my opinion, this situation isn’t black and white. Inwoos mother was a stay at home wife, probably with no savings for her to take inwoo and raise him herself. That’s probably the reason why she left inwoo, thinking that no garbage would abuse a child. Other than this, her thought process would also have been clouded by her experiencing abuse, which ultimately led to her decision. Yes it was a dumb move, but to her, she had no choice.
She went back for inwoo, and alas, he too was being abused by her husband. She runs away AGAIN because she thinks she “killed” her husband on the crosswalk. This is pretty damn traumatic if u ask me. If she took inwoo with her she wouldn’t be in the right mental headspace at all and would potentially be taken into questioning by the police bc there were witnesses who saw her at the crossing. She wouldn’t raise inwoo well in this situation imo. But i do feel for inwoo for being abandoned. Im angry at my mother for being absent too, but I empathize with my mom and why she must have done it, same with inwoos mom.
