He’s going to ask why Hakyung’s the one kneeling and the family can only say nothing beats a Jet2 Holiday

This family doing the most. Hired a stand in to fool a dying man FIVE times to cover up her death; tampered with records to fool a lovesick man into thinking the standin is dead, not once but TWICE; meddled with the son’s memories by withholding information to his own detriment, all the while excusing it as something done for his benefit.
Props to the author because they could’ve just let them slap Hakyung with wet seaweed and be done with it. Instead we get this masterpiece

the text on the newspaper wrapping the bouquet roughly translates to
"In light of this measure, there is significant backlash regarding the legitimacy of the decision…"
"…in their 30s, working professionals…"
"…whether to include it in the future…"
"…such reactions may give rise to societal controversy or provoke…"
"The Seoul city government, in accordance with the new educational direction, plans to include it in middle school textbooks…"
idk if it's random but still a curious selection lol

I just finished the novel. To anyone who’s read this, can you recommend something similar? I’ve tried the lists in NU and went through ‘the moon comes to me’ and ‘please, don’t see me’ and somehow they just don’t scratch the same itch this did. Both characters are subdued and, in varying degrees, definitely not ‘sane.’ So their interactions feel more heated.
I also love the side characters (esp zhuo zhixuan!) they all have a tacit understanding about these two and their quirks. And the tension. I can only describe it as something closer to tremors before a volcanic eruption.
If anyone knows of more LNs with this dynamic, please let me know!
my hunch tells me it's the stalker she kills, and the reporter mentions seon-oh because he's also an accessory to the crime, likely in a separate male prison cell. or all that's hocus pocus who knows
