When I read this as it was being released I was near my 20s and I already got so annoyed at Shishio for not standing for his own choices and regretting them and making her suffer continuously... I was SO GLAD she got with Mamura, it was the first shoujo I read where FL chooses second ML at the end!! I wasn't even minding the age gap as much per se, but the fact the Shishio was a freaking adult and was not keeping up with his own choices >:(
Now I do mind the age gap per se as well... Plus I see why he's an adult but still immature... 25-26yo you are just starting to get your shit together as an adult and it takes years
