This fictional character aggravates me to no end - in real life it's exactly like that! I can relate to Hina, since it's been my decision to raise my kids on my own, and even though I know that it's the wrong move I end up having difficulties in relying on other people.
But all this bravado has it's foundation in us single mothers being able to work to earn our livelyhood or rely on social welfare. Characters like this shopmanager are the arc-nemesis, second only to human resource manager opting for people who're either without kids or married.
*gah* sry for this rant, I really like this manga ^^
This is what happens when our society puts more importance on money and not people. I mean would that store manager really face that many problems if for one day he was missing one employee? Of course not. If that manager had any business sense or knowledge he would know that happy employees are more productive employees, if he'd let her go to her kid she would have been grateful and worked even harder the next day. he he it feels good to rant.
"If you want to get romantic, is it okay if I drug your food?"
Now would be the right time to be SCARED....
hahahaha....
