
I though this would grapple more with "the meaning of life". Like what drives a human to keep loving despite having such short lives vs an immortal vampire. And like... it kinda does, but it feels very... shallow.
The entire second half is just characters meandering through locations, repeating the exact same thoughts in a very Poison for Kuzco maner that never let's us delve into their motivations much deeper.
If you cut straight from ch 3 to ch 6, you dont lose any information. This feels like a lot of nothing dressed up in an expensive gothic horror costume and nothing else.

So basically, even though one’s eyes can function well like a normal person, one can’t open their eyelids like others can. There are multiple surgeries for it but some people don’t really wanna do it for some reason.
They are not blind, they just have trouble lifting up their eyelids.
