Revisiting the series after learning the author is getting a new work (yay!), I feel like the ending is kind of pointed. Like, it's obviously supposed to be a bad ending, I get that, but the message being that the talented Lucky gets to live because hard work can never beat talent feels very... heartfelt? Just knowing that the manga was cancelled makes me wonder if the eq vs iq portion was put in there specifically because the author knew it was going to get axed. I guess there's no use questioning the authors intentions though, since it's already axed. Still, I hope their next work has a more cheerful outlook on things.

I really love how all the cases he's taken so far has furthered his existential crisis. I wonder if, because of his desperation to finding a reason to live, he also becomes a sentient plant. Except instead of acting on his base instincts from when he was alive, like the child, he's fully conscious. Either way, I don't care what his final form is, as long as my boy gets a happy ending.

I feel like even if the author takes back the incestuous setup, the damage would still be done. Like having Ruby's development get rewound just so she can act like a harem character is just really sad to me, even if it's not going to happen. It feels especially bitter considering that Ruby has kind of been more of an afterthought in some arcs rather than one of the main characters. Idk I just feel like her character was less developed than Aqua's in a lot of ways, and the current incest jumpscare feels depressing.
I mean I've never been to America, but I didn't really think it'd be so dangerous as to warrant three seperate chapters. The food he ate does sound pretty good though lol
The calorie bomb is real tho lol
Like the deep fried anything is so true
