Not that I disagree with the message in any way, but it's not exactly taking the subtle route with it. Kind of reminds me of a PETA ad with how extreme it shows the subject matter. Of course animal cruelty is bad and all, but the oneshot feels like a 10 year old trying to be as edgy as possible. Still, I think that the author did a good job with mixing the fantasy bits with the more mundane aspects. It's not a favourite and the message is very handfisted but I'd recommend it to anyone who isn't squeamish about this sort of stuff.

Holy shit the scenery is phenomenal. The inking is gorgeous and it's so beautifully detailed. The action scenes are also so well done, they're drawn so sharply and dramatic it's really pleasing to read. The actual story borders on fantastical with the characters but it's still an interesting take on the time period. Hope it updates sometime in the future.

It's been so long I don't remember shit. The cover is tripping me up especially,
It looks like Miyo transforming into a kami?? Specifically it looks like she's becoming Hitokotonushi. First impressions is that she (or Kozumi) used their wish to somehow transfer a part of Koto to Miyo, but I have the vague recollection of them already using up their wish. Also I'm pretty sure that's like mythologically wrong in some way. Someone who's not brain damaged help me on this.

The first 7 chapters are translated on comick! From the first volume, the manga isn't really romantic, it's just a slice of life about Atami and his interpersonal relationships. The non translated chapters also don't really have much to go off of, but there's not really any qualifier for romantic interest just yet.
The author tries to make the characters have goofy expressions, but he draws this realistic construction of the head while exaggerating the facial features, and they end up looking inbred.
I don't know anything about the plot though the cover was just irking me.
