This is a reoccuring thing in most iseksai shojo/family stories where the father is always doting on their daughter and ignore the rest of his children. That scene where the dad is dealing with the younger brother bothered me. You see your kid has difficulty socializing with others and he clearly feels bad and remorseful so as a father to stand there and see your kid shaking from guilt and NOT GIVE HIM A HUG OR WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT is wild to me. He instead plays the macho man I'll one up you son like HELLO
