Honestly, the first time I read this I was okay, but now rereading this after the reuploads, I can say I sort of dislike Arima. Like the whole ex resurgence erased all of the character development he had when they had their first major fight. Like I personally thought them making up after the first fight tied everything up together, the love interest (I forgot his name lol ) kept affirming his love for Arima and then the ex showed up and he freakin wavered so fast..? Like bro you did what he was worried love interest would do?!?
Y’all are really seeing age gap and running with it. I obviously can’t change all of y’all’s opinion on this, however the ML didn’t have feelings for an elementary school kid. He was in a low place and dealing with a lot and instead of the this kid just reconfirming what he thinks society thinks of him, this kid shows empathy. He’s moved to know there’s still humanity. He then goes on with his life, he doesn’t see the MC until he’s 21 after seeing him again and falls for his passion for his family and hardworking nature. He fell in love with a 21 year old. Just because they meet as kids doesn’t mean they automatically fell in love. Y’all are taking a story that genuinely talks about what it’s like to leave with inner homophobia and working to deconstruct those mental blocks into something perverted.
What was the purpose of this? Like even before this chapter, JK has always on thin ice with readers and this is way over the line. Like this is just gonna make people angry with JK. This was not necessary, they could’ve been way more efficient ways to show his obsession. I can only imagine when Dan finds out.
Sorry to say but this is getting boring. I had such high hopes for the FL. The cool things she could’ve done once she discovered her brother was behind the whole thing. Like girlie it ain’t that your blood that killed you? I just so tired of seeing FL that have the potential to be badasses yet no back bone.
I like how this manhwa treated the king’s assault, it wasn’t done out of comedic effect or dismasculrate him. And how the fl really took care of it, It sad to know that this actually happens to young heirs in actual history.
I like how she looked back and how she realized what her actions done and regrets it instead of brushing it off or ignoring that it didn't happen. She really felt bad and I think that was a real human reaction. All of us would have felt bad. It's sort of like, when we make a your mama joke and we're thinking they are funny, then you realize that the other person you're tell the jokes to, had lost their mother to cancer.
You feel awful and they'd say it's cool and that you didn't know, but despite that, you still feel awful.
She had a very human moment of regret.
I really agree, it is amazing how she was able to recognize her mistake in the process of not even knowing the situation beforehand. She could’ve easily not said anything because technically she didn’t know, but she still apologized because she had a humane reaction of regretfulness. Ahhh this manwha is amazing (´∀`)
I really love how the best friend is shown to have a good friendship with Tsubame, usually the main love interest's friends never find out or they do but they don’t interact as much. Or the dreaded “jealous that my friends are starting to be your friends”. Ryuu and Tsubame acted like siblings which was nice to see, until the other friend sort of.
