I know JK defenders are going to use this now. But in all seriousness like I’m just preparing myself for the second hand embarrassment, when they wake up in the morning when Dan thinks he’s changed. Also like where is potato?!? I just find it weird that he hasn’t shown up even as a background character? Like he wouldn’t miss his birthday. I have a theory that maybe he overheard or even saw Dan and JK during the America fight?
As much as the art style is beautiful, and we get crumbs of potential love interests. Where is this going? Like I understand we are seeing him adjust to idol life or just in another life in general, and we have this scary undertone of abuse, yet that’s not even explored. We just keeping meeting npcs that know something and it doesn’t go anywhere. Like we are 70+ chapters in and barely scratched the surface. Idk. Might be a drop for me, until like spoilers or leaks get back in.
I have a feeling that he just doesn’t know how to make the orb? We know his present self doesn’t know of it or remembers anything. It could be that we will explore maybe more of the gods world.
Second, I was thinking that the lover has it. Maybe Hyo gave it to him, to like think about it and gave the lover a choice, before the lover can finally agree something happens to him. Because we didn’t see what happened to the guy who killed the lover’s family. And once the flashback evens the present day Tae, will know where it is and finally cure Hyo.
I’m leaning more towards the second just because Hyo is way too sick in present time to actually go out or even remember the orb.
I mentioned this before but like, at this point there’s no redemption arch grand enough to clean up JK’s behavior towards Dan. Because at this point it’s only going to get worse and I truly hope that Dan gets another Love interest. Which I doubt but one can only hope. Idk why the manhwa author thinks this is like good writing? You already have most of this fandom against JK, like why ruin it and keep it going?
I feel like this is just how like stans idolize and board line make an illusion of this person in their head and when it’s not fulfilled it’s the person’s fault. Like homie, you never once talked to her, like you can’t get angry for not even trying to tell her. I can’t fathom how he could push his ideals on a noble lady. If this arch of his backstory is supposed to make us feel bad and she ends up back with him or inferring, ong it would me make lose a braincell. I bet anything once she sees his scars she’s gonna feel bad and fall in love with him again.
