Not sure if I'm right, but the first incident when Nirazawa stole a lot of money from the organization let to the meeting with Kabu. I think that Kouki was also involved in that incident but Nirasawa never rattle on him so that why Kouki owns him a favor and that is also the reason why Koiki did not betray him on the Shao Chen incident...

Well, it seemed like it would end soon, but now it might stretch a couple of arcs more. Maybe we'll be able to see more about Zahid's life, aside of the legends and rumors everybody knows.
