Can anyone please remember this yaoi manga I have been looking for for years:
All I remember about it is that it was about a rich ojisan and a young school boy... No, it is definitely NOT Okane ga nai. At the time it was incomplete and I can't recall if it was a second part of the manga or it was its own seperate volume.
If anyone has even the slightest clue as to the name of the manga or even know manga's with similar plots, hit me up. I'd greatly appreciate it!

I just wish that Toshi could have been as brave as Kyuu was in facing his feelings. Kyuu never hesitated when he realised he loved Toshi, he was surprised, he pondered and then he got determined to win Toshi over, I loved him for that. Toshi, on the other hand, was a chicken-shit-of-a-coward. He treated Kyuu badly by trying to distance himself. If Kyuu hadn't put any effort to salvage their relationship, they probably would have become estranged. All the misunderstandings were just so frustrating, and even though Toshi didn't realize it, he hurt Kyuu quite a bit.

Exactly my feelings, and I truly can't stand that attitude : being a dick to their secret crush to protect themselves without ever thinking how much they hurt the other who has no clue what they did wrong. (I noticed that most of the time the mangakas make the ukes do that, made me avoid all "tsundere uke" tags)

What? Don't get me wrong, Kyuu was brave AT THE END, but he was definitely as much a coward as Toshi was until he confessed at the end. He has a monologue about this... Do you remember the scene where he lights the black snake firework and Taira runs away before coming back and having fun when he knows it's safe? He comments saying he's the same and wonders what would've happened if he hadn't been angsting over Toshi so much that he lost weight. He says "next time i'll confess" talking about the next time Toshi hits on him. Toshi kissed him TWICE and he didn't confess. He didn't confess when Toshi pushed him down either... It was always Toshi making the moves, albeit on accident after he lost control, and it was Toshi who asked Kyuu to date him just now. Toshi said "if it's dating we can spend march together", THEN Kyuu confesses. It's as Kyuu HIMSELF said in his monologue when he compared himself to Taira(the new baby brother) and the firework, he only had courage when he was sure it was safe. Toshi had to ask him out, THEN he confessed. I'm going to make a separate comment about this too since i see a lot of these types of comments.

Fucking great piece of work right there, whoever this author/mangaka is, they did a kick ass job of it. I loved every minute of it and I agree with my fellow reader who was stuck reading it even knowing they had to be up pretty early; same situation I'm in right now. I mean, my heart literally hurt right now from this, but I just can't wait to see how they'll catch up with each other. The art, of course, cannot go without mention. If I ever write a manga, I'll definitely be seeking out this artist/mangaka to work their magic on it.
5 stars ain't enough for this master piece!

Dunno why I listened to the reviews. Everything would have been good if Narusawa had grown from a coward to someone willing to fight for his love. All he ever did was whine and moan and EVERY single time, Naoki was chasing after him. I hate that! At least the last time, he should have grown some balls and gone after Naoki without any promptinh from Naoki himself. What a selfish and cold person he is indeed to not care that his actions would hurt Naoki, he was always dismissive of the consequences his actions would have on Naoki.
... Okay, rant over.

While I kind of agree with you, Naoki had PLENTY of times he pulled the same kind of thing lol. They both were kind of foolish at times it seemed. While Doc thought of only the bad and didn't act when he should have or acted to try to keep from being hurt Naoki seemed to act without thinking of anything bad or acted before he got all the facts, like in America >_<;
So I think both of them were really flawed! XD Glad they managed to be happy and grow though!

I agree completely. He was a coward. In his defense, however, he's never done this before. He may have been in his late 20s or early thirties, but he had the experiences of a preteen. That said, after the first four conflicts, he should have grown a bit more than he did. I could go back and forth all day defending and criticizing his actions, but at the end of the day, he finally got his shit together. Some of us take longer to grow up. He was lucky to have a patient and understanding partner.

Well... I agree and kinda disagree. While I admit Doc took a long time to grow, I must say that I kinda disagree on his partner being patient and understanding. I think they both had growing up to do :) Obviously by some of the things they Both did.
Sorry, it just seems to me a lot of people bash on Doc and forgive Naoki everything or just ignore the bad things he did because Doc always forgave him. So while I agree Doc was flawed, screwed up some, and had some growing up to do. So did Naoki.
OK, minor rant done :P

First, I don't think you "ranted" at all. Your points here are both valid and well composed. Second, I think you're right. Naoki definitely had plenty of his own flaws and I was remiss for not mentioning them in my previous reply. I also should have added the word "stubborn" to patient and understanding, but those traits apply to Doc as well. Had he not possessed them, Naoki would have been out on his ass in the first chapter. I said that Doc was a coward, he was, but Naoki was no less one when he chose force over communication. His fear of rejection manifested as temper tantrums. Rather than face the possibility of rejection or having to be improve his own personality, he simply took what he wanted and left Doc with no choice in the matter. This personality trait made it obvious he was a "spoiled young master". So, yes, you're absolutely right, they both had a LOT of growing up to do.

Well thank you :) I am glad that you agree and someone else noted the same things I did :D In the end I am glad they both seemed to grow as people ^_^. To me it almost seemed like two broke people who helped heal each other, which is just sweet :D Though I got really pissed off at Naoki when he forced himself on Doc over that misunderstanding in America -_- But still :D they worked it out and are happy, so as long as they are happy I am too!
They were really an interesting pair to me though, maybe because at one time I was kinda like Doc, so I felt bad for him, while also getting irritated at him.
Sorry if that was a lil disjointed, just got home from work :P

:D When it ends happy there is nothing better ^_^ Personally I can't stand reading stories with sad endings, I always cry XD. I'm glad to hear you found your other half and are very happy, both with them and yourself! That seems to be a very rare thing, so I hope you hold onto those feelings ^_^.
LOL interesting how you were more like Naoki and me Doc, maybe that explains why we want to stick up for them first, even if we find faults in both :P

I'm the same. Of there is no "happily ever after", I get depressed. Yaoi is my escape, after all. LOL Thank you for your kind wishes. After 22 years together, we are still going strong. I hope that your life leads you to the same happiness mine has lead me.
I think you are correct in our reasons to defend certain characters. When you closely identify with a character, it feels as if it's you under attack when they are slighted and it's only natural to defend yourself. Being able to see your own flaws within their character takes self awareness though and that seems to be getting more and more rare these days. (Now I sound like an old woman! LOL)

IKR! To me fiction is to escape the suckiness of real life, not to add to it! :P So glad to hear someone agree with me on that ^_^. WOW! That's awesome you guys have stayed together so long, another rare thing it seems anymore ^_^, I really hope to have that one day too, so thanks for wishing the same for me -^_^-
LOL not really sweetie, I am 24 and I am baffled by many people. So many seem rude, selfish, unable to empathize... It often makes me sad tbh. That is one thing I love about the internet, sometimes I meet people like you who still seem like a great person!
But yeah, I am glad I stopped cutting off my emotions like Doc did, I used to do it after a rough patch when I was younger. That was why I connected with him so much, he cut off his emotions to deal with reality, and had enough there to be able to fake it. I rlly was like that, so I am glad he found someone to break that shell! :D
Imagine if the author had turned it supernatural and Sheep Mask made a deal with the devil to never die or be found so he could take revenge on all others, including and especially that sergeant and Yoo Hyuk.
I truly am also conflicted, but I really wish Sheep Mask wouldn’t die and keep haunting the bastard. I agree, this needs a season 2
