I did not read the novel ,but I found out this information from someone who was giving loads of spoilers on each character ,I’ll try and give you the link of u want me too

Basically why everyone hates her (in my opinion I don’t like her ,but I don’t hate her either) it’s because there’s going to be this war in the future ,against the unknown continent I think ,and for that continent to win ,they would have to capture tess (cause she’s the princess of the elf kingdom , yes her parents sacrificed themselves for her ) and in that time ,art and his dad are part of war ,art will take tess somewhere no one can find her and tell her to stay hidden until the war is over ,AS U PROBABLY GUESSED she doesn’t listen and goes outside resulting in her kidnapping ,art has to go and save her which results in his father dying because art had to choose between saving his father or tess , loads of other lives are lost because tess just couldn’t listen to stay hidden ,I know more ,but I would rather everyone who reads this to find out from someone who actually read the novel cause I don’t want to provide false information ,this is what I read from someone,again ,u can ask if u want more spoilers and I’ll give you the link from where I read it. I wasn’t sure if Tess actually killed someone important to Art or was the cause of the death. And now I found myself dislike ig her even more. Gosh, people who don’t listen when they absolutely actually have to just triggers my soul and irks it.

but some of what u said is true, virion n one of the lances were severely injured during the time Tess n Arthur met again, art told her to stay but she didn’t n left. she didn’t get kidnapped she walked into territory n got caught bc there was like a public execution of her parents where she was. when Arthur find out he used his dragon will to get to her n the people who are from the continent fight Arthur (like a 2v1) n basically he has to open a portal using syvlia’s power (it’s not his power. there a certain power that dragons use

but each path of power that they get is different as an example sylvia’s was time I think n Sylvia!s mother was healing or something.. Arthur’s passage to that power isn’t time, which means that when he uses that power it takes a toll on his body, he used it to a certain extent where he was practically dead n his core was broken (imagine getting a hammer n smashing ur phone like 20 times as hard as u can) bc he’s in so much pain sylvie gives up her physical form to let Arthur get a weapon that’ll help him escape..

ppl hate Tess bc she’s the reason that Arthur is

1. Practically dead
2. Stuck on the continent
3. No longer has sylvie
4. Can’t use mana at all

my opinion of her definitely changed after she ran off bc she partly blames Arthur n it just made me mad. what bothers me is that the only reason she’s even important is bc she’s meant to be Arthur’s lover, that’s the only reason she’s there, she has no significance on the battlefield n even as a princess.
