Well I mean he does rape her 2 years into having her, he's possessive. She also did spend 7+ years with him so when seeing his good points it's hard to not fall in love with someone who has loved you devotedly, protected you whole hearted, and sacrificed so much for you. It's honestly amusing, but it at least didn't happen on a snap of a finger and took some time before she realized she was actually falling in love with him. She did go 7+ years trying to escape him to get to someone who didn't love her, but faked it the entire time. She had been betrayed, used, and tossed by everyone around her but the man that she was trying so hard to escape. It wasn't until she lost it all that she could look past what blinded her to see the man she was so afraid of and wanted nothing more than to flee from was in fact so gentle and sincere with her. All it took was her actually taking the time to look and see.

the story is so much more complicated thou, like she is not who she is, her parents & her brother are not her real family, they also got a child, her memory is somewhat erase by him (she ask for it because she was going through a hard time, he know who she really is & he really loves her that's why he can't let her go) & so much more...

Honestly if the woman you loved kept destroying your stuff, kept trying to leave, kept being so chaotic you'd snap in the two years as well. I haven't read int he novel yet why he is so obsessed with her, but there has to be a reason he never let her go. He also suffers from insomnia which one of the effects is personality issues and temper control issues. He lost it when she pulled the last stunt and it was honestly all the fault of the so called "best friend" for 2 years she had been driving a wedge and trying to worsen the relationship between the two and it just got that point he anger snapped and forced her.

You have to keep in mind that the ml has health issues that were worsened due to her. I'm not saying to forgive him, but don't condemn him for wanting to love her in a twisted way. He does make the changes, he does allow her liberties as he realizes she isn't running away. She isn't trying to leave him. He's like a child that doesn't want to lose his pet in this sense. He truly treasured her as that was the only act of physical abuse he does [of course before her rebirth she said he'd done it more than that once, but she was an idiot then]. We can see without her nonsense and smarter thinking she does do things with more thought. She even gets rid of the two faced wench that was her so called best friend and even saved someone from their doomed fate because of that girl.

This feels like a rant, but honestly besides that one part seeing them evolve as a couple is really worth rooting for as we try to figure out all the secrets!

We have same type. I read the novel and seriously I was always grinning when they interacted. Our girl knows how to pacify him and he knows that she is pretending but still he couldn't do anything that is against our girl will.
