She never experienced hardships. like yall know, every strong main characters have something that triggered them to be strong(thats typical main lead settings). We are reading the mother's pov so we understand her and doesn't want her to suffer any more. But we have to understand that Vicenter suffered too. For 15 years. He's been neglected by her mother since he was a child. Forgiveness doesn't just happen because u suddenly became nice and lovely for a month or two. She has to work and earn his son's forgiveness, and that's what she's doing. It will take time, but it will happen.
