Fair warning after seeing the raws, this story really goes off the rails. Things just get worst and worst for mc. The author doesn’t give mc a second to even breathe or stay properly clothed. The gratuitous rape continues in horrific ways. I thought maybe we’ll get some deep meaningful plot from the dystopian background, but now I’m not seeing any artistic vision. I thought after this arc the relationship btw mc and ml would develop more (still wondering about why this is tagged romance) but no, the story is overloaded with rape and no sustenance so don’t get your hopes up.
I don't think I've ever been more disappointed in wasted talent like I am with this artist.
I just want to see the two of them in love and happy but it looks like I have to wait several more years.

She’s all up in haesoo’s business, pokes fun of her for owning two outfits, tries to snitch on her being a divorcee to taeha, and the one time she should speak up about the creepy staring dude, she does not. I know we all had a good laugh last season with mc being naked like 95% of the time. Having seen raws for S2, I’m here to report it doesn’t get any better. Man is once again butt naked and being raped, except this time by the new captors. So everyone better buckle up or let this marinate for a few months because apparently things can and will get worse for mc. Let’s wait for that 5% plot together shall we?

Was so close to not reading this since I have so many stories to read, I usually pick something with a higher rating to check out but luckily read a few positive comments and really glad I gave it a go because the writing and the subtle expressions in the art are fantastic. Story feels unique and even the minor characters feel well characterized and purposeful. Hope others will give a chance too. Trigger warnings for rape, violence, drug use…so definitely not for everyone.
I legitimately feel so overjoyed when someone gives AOU a shot because it’s genuinely so good and underrated. I hate how much people first viewed it and it was bumped down. It has a progressing story and characters that are fleshed out and don’t fall flat I can’t wait to see how this unfolds I love those two!

Beefy uke was 10/10 but the seme had cringey dialogue and boring looks so I just couldn’t get into it. He comes off too immature and not a dominant top as they tried to portray him. Uke was wasted on him imo.
